When you're on a webpage, activate the Chrome extension by clicking the scissor icon in the top right of your window. Snip gets to work by analyzing the text and picking out the most important points. 

Once Snip has finished processing the web page it will populate the Snip window with a trimmed-down version of the article. 

From there, you can read your Snip from within the Snip window or press the play button to listen to the text.
